Tracks of my Tears

Adam Lambert of American Idol Season 8 made me love this motown song, written and sung originally by Smokey Robinson.
Studio version of "Tracks of my tears"

But I prefer the live version or the acoustic one.

MOVE!

Well, I am moving to Fairfield today. I'm not sure if there's free wifi in the place that I'll be at, but I'm hoping to. =/ or else I will surely die of boredom. :(

Yesterday, we went to a surprise baby shower for my cousin's wife at Dublin.
But we went to an open house before we went to the party. Here are some pics.

Pretty mellow weekend. I need to study my CBEST reviewer anyway.

CAREER

I spent the day with my parents in Fairfield. We shopped and roamed around the city. I miss Fairfield, I might move there next week.. just because I feel more comfortable. It was a long drive from Hercules but it's alright. I'm surprised I didn't get lost or anything. I seriously still know the town, but takes a little more to explore everything.

I spent the entire afternoon applying for jobs online. Part time in retails sales but my main priority is what I studied in for in college--teaching in the early grades. I also applied for some and uploaded my resume. I'm desperate for work. My last choice is to go back to school again and this time, I will have to major in a career that I AM MOST interested in, which is fashion. Cliche? Probably so, but I already checked FIDM and I really want to enroll. But my mom suggests that I have to work first and experience it and then I can do that while working. I'll give it a shot.

Please Lord God, help me find a job and get me to work =/

Tomorrow.. will be in Dublin, CA. Baby shower of cousin.

I'm excited about Earth hour tomorrow. Will post more tomorrow.

Feels like the first!

Finally got my car back!! It has been 3 weeks!! Man oh man, can't believe how I survived! Thank you Lord God for this. :) When I got it, I felt like it was my first time stepping to Disneyland. I was that happy to be mobile again. Everything is falling into place. Now, my main focus is my career/job. I have an idea on how one should move into this kind of situation. I just can't believe is it all happening, all of a sudden. Three weeks ago, I was still playing with my cute shih tzu Neo, pretending to be a 6 year old; and now suddenly I'm 23 turning 34? Life does zooms by and we better hold on to it or we might just get left out.

I pray that my aunt Aurora will turn out well after her surgery. She got into an accident, her left shoulder was slammed in between her work's building's elevator. And I think she should press charges, seriously. This is no joke. I see how my aunt suffers with the cast and now she needs surgery for it. UGH!! Dumbass elevators! Stupid people who didn't even help!! My aunt helps us with everything, I know favoritism isn't really favored but she is my favorite.

JOB JOB JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on!!!

By the way, American Idol did MoTown yesterday and Adam Lambert really caught my attention. Just because I've never seen him that way before and he hit all the right notes last night. (wow, I sound like a judge) But I think I have every right to say it because I'm one of the people whom they are trying to impress and I play the piano since I was 3, so I know my music when I hear one. :) I just couldn't take my eyes off of him. To the point where I was wishing and telling my friend that someday, I want to meet Adam and be his Eve. haha! Whatever. A girl can dream.

See for yourself!
So Adam Lambert almost always looks like this: (with the nails painted and everything.. your typical goth)

But then, he surprised everyone with this!

How can you not like him just for a bit?! But the 1 million dollar question is... is he gay or straight?

Be the BEST!

Today, I started reviewing for a BIG test that will determine my career.. the CBEST!

I seriously need to pass this test, and I know our Lord God will be with me by my side--as always.

I checked out craigslist today and found out that there are lots of jobs in line with my major that I can apply to, which I am happy about. I'm just polishing my resume and getting ready to send it out. I really want to work. Not only to earn for a living but it's just what a person needs to do after college. In order to succeed in life and experience life's bests. That's what I think.

Saw this in Facebook, one of my friends posted it so I gotta watch it. homaygad!! Can I just say?!?!?!?!

Life is simple

Yesterday was amazing. I get to hang out with my good old buddy old pal Jeanette. I was excited to be out and about. We went to a lot of places. First we ate at a Japanese restaurant and had so much sushi. Yummyyy! My favorite. :)
After that, we took a long walk on this subdivision or village and took lots of pictures of the sites. We took advantage of the nice day of Spring; it was also a good exercise because of what we ate. I really hope we burnt calories. The last thing I need is for me to look like a couch potato.. more than I already was. Laughs and conversations between 2 women echoed our trail.

Those are just a couple of pictures of our walk. Along the way, we saw a very cute bunny!! "An easter bunny before easter!" said Jeanette. I wanted to take it home but of course I can't!

See how big it is? It was fat, fluffy, and very cute! It was busy eating so we didn't play with it.

After that, we were ready for Starbucks, our tradition! :) Then we went to Target because I needed to buy my CBEST reviewer book.

Jeannette bought 2 hats. (good grief woman! how many hats do you need?)
But they didn't have the CBEST reviewer, instead!!! I saw this...!

Because he sparkles! Ayayay!! :P And...

Because he's Chuck Bass! :P

Back to reality, we went to Barnes and Noble where we spent quite a long time. They have the CBEST reviewer book so that's solved. Other than that, we scan through the whole store and spent looking at books, magazines and whatnot. Very cool. After that, we went to Hilltop mall. Man, our feet got sore! But it was all worth it! Just 2 women having the time of their lives with what they enjoy doing. Yeah, it's simple but life is short and you have to live the way you know it. This is how I know it.. simple living.

LOST with New Learnings

Today was dragging, but I guess everyone was experiencing it. What's with Mondays?? I'm satisfied to report that I learned many things today.

For one, I learned that being a fresh college graduate is tough. Well, in my situation it is because I'm starting on a different page. Meaning, I got all my schooling in the Philippines, having a sure-shot work there from the school I had my practicum and traded all that for a shot here in CA. It's tough trying to sell yourself in a paper. I hate this part of growing up. So today, I made myself useful. I checked out CBEST, I also checked out universities where I can get MA or graduate studies, I also googled "for-the-meantime" jobs and found myself bookmarking Virgin America and a photographer job in my town. They are decent and I'm kind of considering it for the meantime, while I wait for my college transcripts and diploma--which will be coming from another country. I want to challenge and prove to myself that I am a person who earned a degree and went to the number 1 university in the Philippines--University of the Philippines, Diliman.

I found myself e-mailing my friends and brother dear whom I authorize to do all my unfinished business regarding my graduation. I hope it turns out well. I think I don't know what I'd do if I found out I spent 4 years of my life in college and not being able to see the finish product which is being able to say that I graduated from college and I have proof! After all, that's what almost all employers tend to look for. I even e-mailed the HR person in the job I applied to a week ago and asked about the status of my job application and she said she's also waiting for the call to give her the go signal in calling applicants for a job. And then she emails me a flayer about this job fair in Solano County. I thanked her of course because that is really helpful of her. Bless her and her family.

I question my worth in this world. I want to prove something and make the most out of the things I've learned in school (I went all the way--Prep to College). But the situations never tend to go my way, they never seem to give me a chance to prove to them that I can be an asset. Maybe, I should just go back to my country--my comfort zone. I am struggling emotionally and mentally.

I also learned about The Indian Lake Project. It's scary and creeping me out. It's about this guy who is blogging about a box his uncle gave to him that had old pictures, documents and video inside that show that maybe the government were using children in mind control experiments. The thing that is scary about his blog is as he progresses in telling you things he's discovered he starts telling you how he's being followed and is getting weird phone calls, etc. That is what is freaking me out. Cause you know... if you mess up with the government and try to uncover something they want to stay hidden... well watch out. If you care to read this, this is one of the blogs that made me so afraid for this guy: In February, shortly after America’s Research Gate contacted me, I began to notice a large unmarked white van following me or showing up everywhere I went. This continued through March, until I was able to snap this photo of the van on my camera phone. Once they became aware that I knew I was being followed, it all stopped – that is until recently. As I said sometimes this van would just show up, they seemed to know when and where I was going to be. Which leads to my reason for not going into the woods anymore. On the way to explore the ILP further, I noticed two hunters with shot guns heading into the woods (it is NOT hunting season), and the unmistakable white van hidden behind trees and bushes well off the road. Needless to say I sped past at about 100MPH. I am posting this now because I feel that perhaps the more I speak out, and the more people who know about me and the Indian Lake Project – the safer I'll be. And I thought these things only happen in movies.

Right now, I am trusting God. I miss Him. =( I want to hear His Word. I am thirsty and I feel lost.

Reality isn't fun at all

Today was mellow. Just went to the grocery and Target to buy some needs and wants. I really should start budgeting. As shallow as it may sound, but I'm proud to say I haven't been in a mall for 2 months now. For shoppaholics like me, that's a sacrifice. This is reality. Reality isn't fun at all.

I know it's reality when I can't buy the things I want, but my focus is the things I need. IT IS HARD. Being brought up with almost always have a silver spoon on my mouth, I'm experiencing "hardships" at this time. But I am so willing to learn and I want to learn. I'm not complaining or ranting; it's exciting yet scary for me. But I know it will be alright and fine at the end.

But one thing is for sure, I want to be successful!!! Successful in a way that the things and happenings in life are more than enough or more than satisfying. Ugh! Need to work hard!

As for now, I think I'm at the very bottom of the human pyramid. Gotta work my way up.

Rough but Real

I don't even know why I'm in this situation. It's really hard being away from the life you know since you were born. But right now, I am trusting God. I believe He has a plan for this life of mine and it's about to start now that I'm 23.

First things first. My name is Sarah. I am 100% Filipina living in California, USA. I have 3 older brothers and all of them are married. They are in the Philippines. My parents, well, they are both senior citizens--nothing wrong with that; it's just that sometimes, it's hard to deal with them (don't even get me started). I have a Shih Tzu named Neo and I miss and love him very very much.

I have a lot of friends, but few are close to me and true. My 2 best friends are Aizza and Espie and we tolerate each other in everything.

I've been into 3 relationships with guys and all of them are not recognized by my parents. 2 of them were real. Right now, I'm not in a hurry or looking for anything. I believe they just come in your most unexpected time and believe me, it will come and get you. I watched Beyonce on Oprah and she said: "You gotta have a life before you become a wife." What a smart and successful woman she is! Here's how I look at it (that will and should work for me): CCC.. stands for Career(first) Christian-Cutie(next).

I am not getting any younger; and sometimes I even catch myself daydreaming of my mid-life crisis. Most definitely, I've grown out of that HS-College little bubble and it's time to enter the serious business world.. I'm just in denial most of the time.

I do hope I can write on this blog everyday. So far so good. I'm starting to blog about something real.
